Aim One Company, a strategic marketing and communications firm, has officially commenced the second edition of its flagship Marketing Mentorship Program (MMP 2.0), a structured leadership and capacity-building initiative designed to prepare the next generation of strategic marketing leaders across Africa.
The 2026 edition recorded over 300 expressions of interest, which were streamlined through a rigorous application process into 80 qualified applications from six countries, with 30 high-potential professionals ultimately selected to be mentored by 26 carefully selected senior industry professionals.
MMP 2.0 is an eight-week, industry-led experience focused on strengthening strategic thinking, leadership judgment, and business acumen among emerging marketing professionals. The program blends guided mentorship, applied learning, executive thought leadership sessions, and real-world brand engagement.
Speaking on the vision behind the program, the founder of Aim One Company, Aizehi Itua, emphasized the importance of grounding learning in real business contexts.
“Marketing today blends growth, culture, innovation, and trust. Yet too many marketers are still trained to think small and focus on outputs rather than outcomes. MMP exists to challenge that thinking by bridging the gap between simply running campaigns and actually influencing business decisions. It is about the shift from being good at marketing to being trusted as a business leader.”
Delivering goodwill remarks at the Orientation Day, Elizabeth Ogunseye, President of the Association of Digital Marketing Professionals in Nigeria (ADMARP), formally endorsed the program, commending its commitment to professional excellence and sustainable industry development.
“The Marketing Mentorship Program represents the kind of intentional capacity building our industry needs. ADMARP is pleased to support initiatives that are equipping marketers with the leadership mindset and responsibility required to move the industry forward.”
A key feature of MMP 2.0 is its Capstone Brand Challenge, powered by Imperio Cosmetics Limited. As part of this challenge, mentees will work in teams to develop strategic marketing solutions based on a real business brief provided by Imperio Cosmetics, allowing participants to apply learning outcomes to live market realities.
The program will also feature thought leadership sessions from respected industry leaders, including Eyitayo Omoyele, CEO, United Republic; Franklin Ozekhome, Executive Vice President, Chain Reactions Africa; and Lampe Omoyele, Managing Director of Nitro 121
MMP 2.0 is supported by strategic industry partners, including the Experiential Marketers Association of Nigeria (EXMAN), Association of Digital Marketing Professionals in Nigeria (ADMARP) and The Comms Avenue, reflecting a shared commitment to developing future-ready marketing leaders.
The Marketing Mentorship Program 2.0 will run through April 2026, culminating in a physical Demo Day where capstone solutions will be presented to industry stakeholders.
